Adze Nesting Tables detail, hand-carved center-cut white oak
Scott Mitchell Workshop

Proud soft opening...

While we are very excited about all that is to come, we are just getting started. What is shown here marks the beginning of the collection, with new pieces and expanded offerings continuing to emerge as the workshop grows.

Born out of Scott Mitchell’s architectural practice, Scott Mitchell Workshop explores furniture, lighting, and objects through the lens of proportion, material, and detail. What began as an extension of the studio evolved into a dedicated space for creating pieces at a more intimate scale.

Design at SMW is material-led. Each piece is developed with a clear understanding of how it will be made, assembled, and used. Structural, material, and contextual constraints help shape form, proportion, and detail, while materials are allowed to express their inherent qualities without unnecessary embellishment.

Collaboration is central to the work. SMW works closely with fabricators and artisans, refining designs through dialogue and iteration. Ongoing communication throughout the process ensures the original design intent is carried through with clarity and precision.
